When you are diagnosed with cancer, dental health is very important. Removal of sources of irritation and infection are vital. Conditions that may have been acceptable to leave untreated, usually need to be addressed.

The oncologic dentist at the cancer centre may ask you or your dentist to address specific important dental issues so that your medical treatment can be delivered safely and promptly.
